Yes, we did get some snow, but mostly ice in January with the winter storm that came all the way south to the gulf coast and much of the south that rarely sees snow.

They called it a “once in a generation storm”; let’s hope so! Snow accumulated just to the north and west of us and it created quite an event here.
The storm pretty much shut down the area for a few days; lots of happy kids loved a rare Florida “snow day”.

Jumping to some opposite weather quickly, in February we were fortunate to take a trip to Hawaii with friends Darrell and Susan who lived in Hawaii for several years.
It was a great experience and we were grateful for their trip planning and being our guides. We visited the Big Island, Maui, and O’ahu.
Highlights included, Hawaii Botanical Gardens and Volcano National Park on the Big Island, whale watching excursion on Maui, and Wakiki Beach/Honolulu on O’ahu.
Back to reality in March with lots of accounting and tax work to catch up on. Tax season went well with my small group of clients and second season with the Port Saint Joe CPA firm.
At the end of April we took another camping trip to St Joseph Peninsula State Park before leaving Florida on May 8th for stops in NC, VA and MD on our way to Michigan.
For the remainder of 2025 we will spend the summer in Michigan and North Carolina, take a western trip in the fall that includes the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Festival before returning to Florida in late October. We were able to secure a camping reservation on the grounds at the balloon festival taking place in early October; should be quite a sight.
We will be marking our 8th anniversary as “full-time RVers” in August 2025. As singer/songwriter James Taylor puts it: “And it don’t look like I’ll ever stop my wanderin'”.
